Fashion North Launch Night!

On Wednesday night I attended the Fashion North launch party and, believe me, I was excited!
Fashion North is a website run by the 3rd years on my Fashion Journalism course where they post fashion news, shopping tips and beauty advice, I've had one small article posted on the website so I was more than excited for the launch.
Upon arrival we were greeted to champagne and wine (much to my delight) and then took a seat at a table covered in sweets and magazine cut outs. The brick room with dimmed lights, pink balloons, champagne and a red carpet was definitely the perfect vibe for the party.
The Editor of the magazine gave a speech then we viewed a catwalk show that displayed outfits from a few independent retailers as well as New Look and Van Mildert. I fell in LOVE with the most gorgeous dress from the Van Mildert collection; a black floor length dress with a slit up the leg and a detailed sequin pattern across the bodice. It's a shame about the price tag! (Yes, I did frantically search for it on the Van Mildert website straight away!)
Overall the launch was a huge success, despite my friend spilling her wine all over our table as soon at we got there!
